I bought this book knowing that the hero had cheated, something that is a deal breaker for me. Yet I took a chance, because the cheating had occured out-of-page (before the beginning of the book) and because of what had happened to the hero, after his cheating, poetic justice, I would say. I did like very much, how repentant, in-love, and determined the hero was to win over the heroine, but I just could not really get past his cheating, to completely enjoy the story. However, I absolutely hated an incident toward the end of the book. The heroine discovers who was the woman he had cheated with, and furiously confronts him, when she realizes that the woman still works for him, and to make matters worse he had neglected to tell her, after promising to be honest with her from now on. Heroine demands that he severs working relationship with his ex fling, he ademantly refuses. He rather lose his personal relationship with heroine, than the professional and very profitable relationship he still has with you know who. Yet it is the heroine who is almost instantly regretful of her angry outburst, and is the one who reaches out to him, to apologize and grovel if need be, to be forgiven, for her tirade (even the hero is shocked that she feels she is the one who needs to apologize). And believe me she does grovel. By the end of the story, I was left with the subliminal message, that, for the most part, the heroine brought all her troubles and mistrust issues on herself, including the cheating of the hero. Yikes!

One Night with Her Ex edition by Lucy King Contemporary Romance eBooks Reviews
This book revolves around a divorced couple. Kit Buchanan has been unable to perform in the bedroom for 5 years. It all started when he cheated on his wife Lily Montgomery and they got divorced because of it. You know, serves him right. I very much liked that plot point. Finally tired of this issue, Kit decides to go straight to the source. He thinks that by having a heart to heart with his ex he can solve the issue. The problem is that when he sees her all those old feelings start to resurface (and his performance issues become a thing of the past). Lily is surprised to see her ex and even more surprised to fall into an (unsatisfying) night of sex with the ex. But, her issue is still the same, even if she loves him, can she trust him?
The sensitive issue of infidelity is the focus of this book. if this is a trigger for you, do not read this book. The characters manage to have very mature conversations and they are very aware of their issues and their failings. This is the first romance I've read in years in which the main characters act maturely, mostly. They actually handle there issues in a very mature manner and that only comes after a lot of self-reflection.
There were a lot trigger worthy sentences that made my blood boil but overall, this was a good read.

There is a reason your Ex is an ex and there are plenty of reasons why they should stay your ex.
I am sure there are plenty of people who ponder or reminisce about the good old times and totally forget about the bad ones. Nostalgia can make even the coldest of hearts melt like a Popsicle on a hot summers day.
That is exactly the type of conundrum Lily and Kit find themselves in. After half a decade apart one of them suddenly decides that his ex is the solution to all his problems. Problems that have been following him around for at least half a decade, ergo it must have something to with his ex-wife Lily.
Lily isn't exactly overjoyed at his epiphany and responds in the one way she deals with all her troubles. Makes a run for it.
What follows is an erratic dance of emotions, fears and lust between the two of them. Unfortunately just snapping back into old ways and relationships, also means having to deal with old habits and insecurities.
This is an interesting and difficult love story. You don't always know what you had until you no longer have it.
I received a copy of this book courtesy of Harlequin UK and Mills & Boon.
The man cheats on his wife. Five year later he uses her to get over a dry spell because, oh my, he can't function with anyone but her (now that's what I call love, too bad this affliction did not rear its ugly head BEFORE he cheated on her) and then, when she allows him back in her life, not only does he not tell her that he's still working with the OW but refuses to "put his business in jeopardy" by severing his relationship with the woman, storms off to another country and ignores her calls, leaving her wondering if he’s cheating on her again. Seriously this is a man who loves his wife and wants to make amends for hurting her?
And then of cause our spineless h actually apologizes to him for asking him to sever the relationship with OW using the dubious logic that she has no reason to mistrust him because he hasn't done anything to be mistrusted for "lately". That had to be a joke. Subsequent to which we actually have the h's friend asking him if h has never made a mistake. Because that clearly is the reason why he should feel no remorse or be required to do anything to earn back the h’s trust outside of just not cheating on her lately.
Who are these characters and how much disbelief does one actually have to suspend in order to actually buy into this "romance"? Wouldn't waste my money on this.
This is a typical love story where u will get everything, the ups and downs of a relationship and the vulnerability of two people inlove. Kit is married to lily and he has a one night stand and things between them gets rough so they get a divorce, but who cares about the one nyt stand , forget it dont even go there!!!!!!! What matters is kit regrets for all the tym they were apart and takes the necessary steps to find his ex wife and he will do anything to win her back and this tym for keeps.
This was a cute predictable second chance romance. The main problem with this couple is that they couldn't communicate and I'm not sure they have learned from those mistakes.
